Finally Finished!!!

I'm glad to say that our building has finally been completed! It was a long and stressful time but it came out great...there might be some changes in the later future but I'm not going to stop there.  The building is so pretty and dimensional, like it is said the clouds and balloons look like erasers!  And truth be told they do! I want them now hahaha.

Next time for sure there is going to be animations, maybe the rotation of the clouds or sheep or even the building coming apart. But right now I'm satisfied!

Artist!

It was so great to see people make their own art in SL, wow am I amazed in seeing how talented they are.  I want to see more of their work and see them go further with their art.  It is even complicated for Raven and me to put our work on the school land....TOO MANY PRIMS!!!!hahaha.  Can't wait to see next weeks artist work!

So then, Raven and I got the chance to get our questions answered, yay!!!!

There is a simpler way to make our building 3D, and it won't need a lot of prims.  But from that we are going to work on getting our scripts up and ready for the rest of the project.  I'm hoping that we are able to work with the scripts and properly know how to use them.

Update (11pm)

Success!!!! Here are some images of the building in sketch-up.  Yay for being able to use this program!!!!

Building

It's going to be a long and heavy duty task to make everything work for our project.  Raven and I are trying to figure out the different ways to make an object look three dimensional without using so many prims. To tell you the truth it is getting complicated to see just a flat surface.

Maybe tomorrow there will be a chance to ask around if there is a way.  Because right now the only solution is working on photoshop and making them into a mesh!

What to do!

So Raven and I are contemplating in what to do for our Second Life project....

I really must say PROJECTS PROJECTS and more PROJECTS!...but hey that's the consequence of being an art student <insert laugh here>.  I do like working under pressure though it makes me gather up more ideas and put them to work.

Though Raven is still puzzled, we are trying to work out the details of recreating a previous work; it might be described as a gigantic!  And if this work succeeds we might have accomplished another form of art.

Well then, good luck to everyone else in their projects!

I quite can't recall the name of the artist but I do certainly love the work he has done!

This work is so amazing and entertaining that you as a viewer involve yourself with the work.  I can't say how much this work was my favorite, the colors and objects are what made my day.  I was thinking to myself that my style is quite almost the same...not so much but almost.

I really enjoyed that he has made his work from RL and transformed it to SL art, it looks the same and it goes further by being animated to what his mind was thinking about.

Here are some of his work....

Tuna Oddfellow

What a name and what a presentation!  His work is marvelous and informative, there was no way I was that experienced to understand almost everything he had to say.

The greatest thing to see from the artist is what he has created as an environment.  Wow it was like looking into a kaleidoscope and what i mean from that is that the surroundings became a kaleidoscope with movement....but after looking at it for a while you got some motion sickness.  Though everything was so amazing and maybe later in life I'll understand the full meaning of his work and his conversation.

It was amazing to meet these artist in their own environment, you can see their works in progress as well be able to talk to them, when in reality their miles and miles away.

For example this artist lives in Australia and is telling a story about her tribe who is suffering from the governments treatment. And in one of her works you see credit cards falling down from the sky; this work was to show that the Australian government was trying to make the tribes poorer than what they really ask for. It's amazing to see government go to greater lengths trying to make people go into debt without even noticing...like what we do here in the U.S, we make our poor poorer.

There are other places of the land that she traditionally revamped with her cultural tribe influence, they as well are amazing and beautiful!

Taking a look at different art makes me want to create something here on Second Life.  I hope we start soon!

Here are some images of different galleries.....

Machinima

This was a really interesting lecture done by Pooky Amsterdam, we got the chance to hear her talk about the world changing by the using the media Machinima.

This art is a way to create electronic video, were its not just using RL people to perform on video but the avatars of those people to perform.  It was a revelation hearing that the medium is becoming bigger one step at a time!

Second Life has been an entertaining experience, going to different places in just seconds is mind blowing. Then being able to change your character into your alter ego or your "true self" is pretty awesome.

Today was great, I was able to take time to go off by myself to a relaxing world, I must admit it was one of the greatest places I have ever been too!  Though it was a bit laggy, there was no problem in traveling around the environment for a while.

Viewer Trouble

UPDATE

As previously stated, there was a problem trying to teleport....well the problem has been solved and there was an answer to it.  It's getting the Firestorm Viewer, but I'm guessing AT&T doesn't like the SL Viewer (that or their internet connection is bad).  Well at least I'm albe to teleport and find other places and photograph.

Here are a couple of the images I took at a place called Enchanted Forest.

P.S
On Wednesday, I got the chance to go to a museum and a lot of other places here you go....
